T.J. Phoenix

I search the web every day for signs of intelligent life. I get a sentence here… a paragraph there and not a whole lot in between. It's pretty slim pickens, here, as my granny would say. Of course she was married during the great depression of North American in the nineteen thirties and her fathers first car was a model T. It was a different world, doesn't even begin to cover it. And the funny thing is, it wasn't really that long ago. It wasn't and yet media doesn't record or register much except… the same old "'celebutard' recycled garbage" and speculations as to whether or not movie stars enjoy being treated like Gods and whether or not that actually makes the sex better.

Then there is the fact that the presence of the Web is reducing the event of time line, in influencing the course of mankind. There is less global consciousness, as we have more global consciousness, as we move toward a further breaking down of culture, culture barriers and the differences that drive mankind into a nearly perpetual warlike state. If we survive… the transition to a different paradigm we may find, like excited children that our reality can in fact be splendid beyond any of our wildest dreams. That, in fact, Utopian paradigms (for that is what such a culture would be hailed) are as possible for us to achieve as microchips and supersonic sound beams. And don't kid yourself. There are those of us who have studied anthropologically speaking from enough different angles to, at least possess a rudimentary understanding of the situation at hand.

The Rosewell crash and the subsequent reverse engineered alien technologies that the human race now employs are tools far beyond our spiritual growth and maturity. And just because consistent human telepathy will be scientifically explained, understood, harnessed and used in my lifetime, doesn't mean I have to be enthused about it. I've read enough good science fiction to know that the expectations and continued fall out of our species. For all our arrogance about human advancement, all I see every day are just rows and rows of steps backward.
The environmental imbalances are so high now, the whole planet rocks every night. I lie in bed sleeping and I feel like my planet is in the middle of a terrible crashing storm and I can do nothing to lessen the storm, or sustain the strength to make it to the other side. And I think, " 'stupid, stupid monkeys' arguing over your bananas".

It doesn't matter how big your ipod is all your technology, art and culture means nothing, if you destroy life in order to have it. Plain and simple, the Earth can not afford our habits. I ask myself every day, what can I do, to change my habits. How can I make it better. Sure, reduce, reuse, recycle, but what else. There is a whole flip side of, "create" that we aren't seeing, that we really need to look at as a culture. Whether or not we do… it needs to happen.

Billions of factory farmed animals: caged, raised, and slaughter as babies for billions of pounds of their flesh and rivers of their blood feeding Orc-like mills and factories which harness and package their deaths into feed sacks for human beings and their pets.
